Baltic Cruising is a Finnish Sailing school with 15 years experience of making better sailors of both beginners and veterans. The school’s principal is Esa Kalervo (RYA Yacht Master Offshore)
Sometimes even experienced sailors can be in difficult situations were survival requires skill. We teach all kinds of boating related skills, so beginners, and those who have already sailed for years, acquire the skills they each need.
COURSES
Our courses include the Finnish Yachting Association standard Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper courses. There are also plenty of boating and navigation in specific courses.
Our harbour is located in Koivusaari, a few kilometers from Helsinki city center.
This spring’s Competent Crew course consists of four evenings and two days :
Tuesday - Friday evenings, 25.5-28.5.2010 at 18:00-21:30, and Saturday and Sunday 29.5 to 30.5.2010 at 09:00-17:00.
The course fee is 395 euros.

We use the RYA competent crew text books, which you can order from us.
We can organize courses to order and on demand. Many of our courses are bilingual in Finnish and English.
CRUISES AND RACES
In addition to our courses we offer the opportunity to sail as part of a crew or independently. The evening sails from Helsinki’s Koivusaari are popular. There is also the midsummer cruise from Helsinki to Hanko, the Helsinki Tallinna race, etc.
WE ALSO SAIL IN SOUTHERN WATERS
You can come with us on a course or make up a crew on charter boat. If you have sufficient experience you can charter a boat through us. We offer the Greek Kiriacoulis fleet renting 650 boats in 30 different bases in 8 countries in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
